Default 4 Bolt 350

Later today I'm suppoed to be picking up a four bolt chevy 350 block/crank. I found a good deal on craigslist for one. This is going to be my first engine project so I want to take my time and make it as beast as I can.

I'm kind of leaning towards making it into a 383. If any of you guys have tips, tricks and whatnot on building an engine, that'd be great.

Like I said, I want to take my time on this one and make it into a beast.

Pics later.

Oh, and if anybody has a guide with the casting numbers in it, I want to see what kind of power this block can handle.

Thanks.

I want to build it up pretty good to put in a street truck. Nothing super fancy, just make it beast enough.
