I was just wondering how many 9 volt batterys a xmod can handle becuase i've heard that its only like 7.5 volts or something low like that so if you have heard of anyone using 9 volt batterys let me know how many you can use

max board voltage is 8.4 peak. that means 1 9volt by itself will burn your electronics. and your car will be no faster even if it didn't, because 9-volts are not high-drain batteries. stick to AAA's and liths

if you want to use AA's, you'll need a much bigger space under your car to fit them. they are very large in comparison to xmods, so with the extra weight, i don't believe is worth it.

agreed^

plus, they produce the same amount of volts, the just have a higher capacity

higher capacity= longer run times

I like to use the Powerex Batteries. Plus their chargers are awesome.

This one is better because it tells u the battery capacity.

Batteries I like the Powerex batteries but they are kind of expensive, so I use the Tenergy from http://www.all-battery.com/ They are cheap and high capacity, at this price they are easy to replace when they go bad.

For larger scale rc I like the stuff from hobbypartz.

Good luck
