Default My Traxxas

Hey there. This is my Traxxas I got a few years back for free. I don't know anything about nitros, but would like to get into them. I bought a brand new transmission for it and it hasn't been installed yet. So, I have a few questions:

1. Where can I get cheap aftermarket parts?
2. Is there a repair manual anywhere for this?
3. Which one is it?

Check out the T-Maxx section of the forum on Monster.Traxxas.com. They search feature is spot on and you can even look through about the first three pages and find out everything you need to know about your T-Maxx.

For aftermarket parts a lot of the Traxxas guys swear by TowerHobbies. I have also purchased thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from them and have no complaints. Prices are fair, often wayyy better than your LHS, and the shipping takes no time at all within the States. Longest I've waited was two weeks and that was because my parts were on backorder. Plus their Customer Service and Phone Order is amazing.

If you don't like the prices of TowerHobbies there is always eBay, CraigsList and other online auction sites. Plus the Traxxas Marketplace is always bustling with deals.

Cheers and good luck,
Kyle.

Just curious, how do you own a 300$+ truck for 2 years and not know anything about it? What'd you do find it at the side of the road...?

You apparently know nothing. Don't talk if you really do not know. Back to topic. Jabari, that is definitely a T-Maxx no doubt. Looks like the old 2.5 because the 2.5R is generally blue. You might want to bring it to your LHS and have them fix it so you don't mess anything up.

i have a t-maxx its friggen rocks youll have a lot of fun with that one when you get it running and....hope fully they didnt give you the truck cuz the motor was bad you need to make sure it still has compression when its hot (when you get it running of course) or your motor may be trash but you should just get a bigger one anyways cuz i could never get my 2.5 to run that good go with someting like a ofna picco .21
