I feel a photography thread is an appropriate place to talk about what cameras we may use as well as lighting, exposer, iso or flash settings. Since most of us using this thread consider our selfs hobbiest to photograph we actually do care about such things and they are helpful to use in our work. Trying to help a member shoot less grainy photos is not spam it pertains to the topic, and is helpful to other members who may come across it later on.
+1

Help get others to take pictures is apart of the thread IMO.

Some pictures after the NY Aquarium, there was a beach so I got some pretty good pictures. It was about 40 degrees *F outside at that time.
Let me know what you think!

Pictures were taken today. It was amazingly quiet on the beach, I would have gotten videos of the peacefulness, but my brother was being annoying.

Think it's called color guard

Good shots though.

I got some fancy ones of the slowbird in the rain today, lol... With the Minolta no less. Now gotta waste off the rest of the roll of film (**** this film camera technology!) and have them up sooner or later.

I think they turned out ok, I was luckily had some time before her routine to play with my camera settings to make them turn out, considering I was not aloud to use a flash and the lens I was using is not the greatest in low light. I'm surprised they are not more grainy at 1600 ISO.

Those were .JPEG compressions. I always shoot in .NEF and .JPEG; .JPEG for easy viewing when in a jam and for easy editing when school computers (no Nikon software) and .NEF for when at home and want to really get into fixing it.

i just found some of my old snaps on my old webshots account and thought you photo guys might appreciate them.
i cant remember what camera they were taken with but it was either the optimus or the cannon.both digital.
some are "artsy" and some are just pics.
i'll go through the old yahoo accounts to find more pics from our adventures across the country.

Rioux (pronounced "Rio") took a bath today. He/She was quite happy since it was his third one this week; he/she was quite excited to take one, as he/she was trying to take a bath in his/her food plate during dinner (always eats at the dinner table with us). I keep saying his/her he/she because the sex of this bird is still unknown, won't know until four years of age, he/she is only a year and a half old.

When I get the time I'll take these into GIMP/Photobucket and work on them a little; especially work on the horrible crop on most of them.

Used the Nikon with the Speedshot 800 at ISO 500. They're probably a little grainy..

I think some red would look good. Like dye it red type of look. But some red would look pretty cool. A little bigger (100px each way) and it would make a good wallpaper, as long as it has some red.

I think it might look good if most of the white was red...

EDIT:
Do the background (solid white on the right and some on the left) in red, like a blood red. Perfect.

Donziikid, cute bird. I used to have a Cockatiel named Sunshine. But we had to give him away because he became aggressive.

Not the greatest, but I saw someone try this concept with a pin wheel and thought I'd try it with an armature.
