Problem with 6 cell upgrade, plz help
hi, yea i just did the 6 cell upgrade, following the atomic mods tutorial i didnt have wire that was the same thickness so i got some 18g speaker wire i found in my room. got it all wired up, when i put the main 4 batts in it is fine but when i add the 5th and 6th the negative on the new 2 cells the spring u use to push the batteries in get red hot and and the spring compresses so i have to stretch it back out... no wires are crossing and none or touching any metal screws
any ideas what could be the problem thanks |

Sounds like you have the polarity of the add on 2 cell pack backwards. Double check your wiring against the tutorial and I think you'll find your mistake. The only other thing I can think of is that you have the new pack in parallel with the board instead of in series.

25+ with a 6 cell? that sounds kinda wrong.. maybe like 20+ but 25+ is a bit too much, unless u have an external turbo or something like that.
