Default Crawlin Titan

I got this titan about 4 months ago.I first started with the awd from Radio Shack.

Recently, I purchased a stage2 RS upgrade.I then decided to turn it into a crawling truck.I added a few stickers and added the Lego tires(borrowed from my friend) with xmods car rims.I couldn't find a decently priced lift kit,so I put cardboard under the body clip.I made a custom suspension lift kit by loosening the screws connecting the front arm to the knuckles. In the rear, I did the same, but put soft springs between. Here's some pictures of my work.

Mod Edit: Please make sure to press "ENTER" between inserting each picture next time (I have done this for you here this once). Also, some images need to be resized. Forum rules dictate that pictures are to be no larger than 800 x 600. Thanks!

You're not one to judge, either. He can call it what he wants to call it.

I've always liked the tread pattern on the Lego tires.

hey xtreme, look at the hs-55 servo motor, it give a good amount of torque for crawling, but gives bad speed...but crawling isn't about speed so it works out. i can hook you up with some crawler items.

looks good man, pretty high for not having a lift kit, i think its just a little shorter than one with the kit. you're definitely gonna want to get a new motor with a lot of torque though.

and like everyone else has said, resize your pics. they're a little big. they dont break the forum tables on my computer, but i have a widescreen so not much does haha

xmodificationer, stop being such a negative nancy haha

looks really nice bro. i'm not going to lie, when i read what you wrote (before looking at pics) i thought the car rims would look strange on the truck. then i looked at all the pics and they fit the truck REALLY well. i think they flow nicely with the truck and look you were going for. keep up the good work, and definately keep us updated!

You should try to get a lift kit or at least a body lift.

I just got some upgrades.I resized the pics on photobucket.Sorry for the huge pics.I'll try to get a vid soon.I recently bought deep dish alloys from xmods international and a F-150 roll bar that fits perfectly in the Titan bed.I crazy glued it(man that stuff is fast) to save the hassle of drilling holes in the bed.I want to get a 180 SE motor, some aluminun parts(ebay),and an overland upgrade off of ebay. Here's some updated and smaller pics.

looks nice. If you want to get that 180 motor you have to do the wide axle tut. Don't get the overlander upgrade off ebay. YOu don't need to spend like $15? i think on it when you could spend 5 at radioshack and follow suicide star's tut or make your own body lift. Hope this helps.

I used TheB1GDude's tut.It doesn't quite work the same on a titan. It tilts foreword. It gave a little more clearance needed in the front and rear by just centimeters.I took some more pics.I also tried taking some vids.I didn't ever try this,so don't be surprised if the xmod goes out of frame. On one of them,It does several times, and if you look closely at the front left corner, the wheel is off of the ground. They are just short clips b/c my video camera was a cheap b-day present.

The tires in the back are stock tires.
