Default Windows 7

Is anyone here using the Beta version of Windows 7?
It's pretty much a glorified version of Vista, but in my opinion its much better than vista.

I am running 7 in VMWare Workstation (a tool that acts like a computer so I can test out beta OS's...) and its quite great.
It's a little buggy, as most Beta's are.

The main differences I see are the taskbar and instead of the Vista sidebar, you have 'Gadgets' which are the same as the sidebar, but can moved about the desktop, and can be position on top of all other windows.

You can no longer download the Beta (from Windows), but if you manage to find a copy of it, you can still get a Key from windows that is good until the first of August.

Paint doesn't have the one-pixel or line tools!

I'm hoping the final version does, because if not, I'm sticking with XP to do pixel cars...

Lol, really?
I haven't even noticed, I don't use Paint that much.
So far, I've just been using 7 for everyday web surfing and music.
Anything else (Video Editing, photoshopping, whatever) is done on Vista or XP.

Just resurrecting this thread for anyone that has had a chance to use it now.

I have been running it since the day it was released.
64 Bit version on my HP Pavillion, and 32 Bit on my HP Mini (Netbook) and I am VERY pleased with it.
The Pavillion came with Vista, and I HATED it. The Mini came with XP, but it crashed, so I put 7 on it.

I have so far found nothing wrong with it.
I just want to see what others think of it, now that it's been out for a while.

64Bit OS will run in a native 32Bit mode to support programs that aren't 64Bit works really well in 7... other than the fact MS just copied OSX 7 is pretty awesome!!

I've still yet to find a program that I need, that won't work. And when I do, I have a desktop for that.

First off have you actually USED 7? (The reatil, not a beta)
It's WAY different than Vista.
And I personally have found no problems.
