Is mono shock better than independent suspension?

That's because it only has 1 control arm to put pressure against. Running a mono-shock across the 2 arms works horribly.

No it doesn't. If it did not have a spring, it would put down pressure right. Instead, when both wheels hop, the spring compresses.

Viper, you ever tried/had any luck with a sway bar type of arrangement? I need to keep my right rear tire from tucking under on the tight turns of the RS tracks

I haven't driven it on a track yet, so I dunno how benifical it'd be to you. It definitely helps me off the line because the rear isn't hopping like crazy. It can easily be made out of thick plastic, so I'd say it's worth a shot.

I'd like to come up with an equal length A arm set up for the rear end, that way the contact patch stays the same all the way through the range of the suspension instead of the tire changing camber with the suspension flex. On oval tracks the right rear tries to tuck under, I've solved part of the problem with a piece of .013" piano wire making a sway bar and it seems to help a bit, I still have good suspension travel but my tire wear, especially on the right rear, is a lot better.
