Default My 1st 1/10th scale.

So I couldnt resist picking this up and I actually think I got a great deal on it. I got it at a local hobby shop for $184.77

As you can see its a Tamiya TT-01 XB, keeping it real simple right now. The hop ups I got first were of course bearings and a Team Associated Heat Sink.
I really like the stock speed of this guy but I want a little more speed but nothing much yet maybe I'll purchase a Sport Tuned Motor.

But definetely for sure the next thing I get for it is some Kind of Honda body for it wether its NSX or S2000 I dont care, I am a Honda FREAK!

Heres the pics.....

Very cool! Welcome to the 1:10th world. It's even more of a money pit than Xmods are.

And, before you order/purchase a motor, make sure the stock ESC can handle it. Many stock ESCs are only able to handle the stock motor, not anything with a lower wind. Check that before you purchase a new motor.

Looks like some scuffs on the body already...Getting the hang of that baby yet?

Those are nice cars, lots of potential, also lots of kinetic in them when you get them too (see the joke there?? LOL, to much physics). Seriously though i love those cars, never had one myself but they look awesome especially with what some people do to them. Im sure youll get into that too, once you learn more about 1/10th and how stuff works...

DonziiKid- Yeah I was wondering about what the stock ESC could handle, this thing came out of the box with the servo, reciever and speed control. I am thinking about sticking with Tamiya motors for now. I really want to try the Sport Tuned Motor out, if I recall correctly the other TT-01 XB Drift cars come with the same ESC. NOT 100% sure but I'll find out

My buddy keeps telling me to go brushless, maybe a little further down the road. I understand that brushless cars can go for a long amount of time, I like the sounds of that!

MeMe- They are fun. Im not looking to do too much to it really, just maybe upgrading the drivetrain and maybe playing with the suspension a bit. Scuffs are from the ends of driveways and just rocks, the front lip on the body kind of hangs low, and I have the body set kind of low too.

Xmodificationer- The plastic on it is much more durable then that plastic that comes on Xmods! I have ran into a curb and jumped a curb and nothing happened, now tell me can an Xmod do that on stock plastic? If you dont bash this thing around, it wont snap, crack or pop!

WhiteMKIV- I have not had a Xmod.......... For a long time now. I am a Mini Z guy and TT-01 guy!

For shooooore!

Did a little research for ya: Many say it's a 23T limit motor. Tower rates it as a 60amp forward and reverse ESC. Depending on the motor, the magnets and the can, 23T sounds about right.

Yeah that helps out some, I dont like how they all have something different.
I like to play by the rules in the beggining you know ( use only Tamiya part )
I usaully do that for awhile but then I get a little ballsier and take some risks, I am sure sooner or later I'll get something for it.

Right now I have three wonderful toys to play with.
I have this, I just really recently got it, I think I have had for maybe about two months now.
I have a Mini Z MA-010, I just spent a big dollar on getting diff's for it and that infamous SAS system for it. I want to see if it really does what people says it does!
Then I have my 1/1th scale car. I love that thing more then any of these things of course. Its in need of some maintence and maybe some updates to the suspension.

So when I have some extra money I'll hop up the TT-01!

Oh yea, I have a s2000 body on my tl-01. Its awesome! That audi looks great too!

the Tamiya is nice.......but you can get the same chassis for a lot less.
there is a company called HBX that builds the same chassis (probably builds them for tamiya) and they sell theirs for around $70.

Just a couple of heads up on it for you.....
The shocks are NOT oil filled, and are pretty much useless if you are going to upgrade the suspension. I would look into oil filled ones as soon as you can afford them.
the ESC and the Reciever are all one unit on that car and you need to buy new stuff (individual units) asap.

Other than that welcome to the world of 1/10th scale r/c
