Default Stage 2 Evo Motor Questions

So a few months ago I got the stage 2 motor for my Xmod. It runs good but it doesnt seem to be as fast, but it could just be me. It does drink regular batteries like theyre nothing. But Ill eventually get some re chargeable li-ions and that should help. But my real question pertains to the wires on the motor. Are they that long for a reason? Can they be shortened and re soldered? Any help would be awesome, thanks guys. Peace.

They are designed for the trucks too. Those chassis require longer motor wires. And yes, the wires can be cut/solder to any length.

if you are gonna go through the trouble of cutting and resoldering, replace the stock skinny wires with a bigger gague.

The stage 2 is faster, but it has less torque then a stage 1 which makes it seem slower.

No.. the stage 2 is faster but it has less torque. If you read my last post, you would've known that. Plus, no B/S/T outside of the forum area, plus you dont have the post count required to post in the B/S/T area either. Read the rules please.

well i've hd three of the stage 2's ang they run fine 4 me besides the fact tht on 1 of them the wire kept getting ripped like it was burning the wire itselfm. and it had 2 be resoldered but i ran all three motors as hard as possible 2 on diffrent cars and 1 on a truck and its direct soldered to the board and is way faster then the stage 1.

Hmm. Thanks for all of the input guys, I may have to go ahead and get some larger gauge wire on there. I think I have some 16 gauge I used on my Mirage. To the Bat-Cave!!!
