Default 69 Chevy Nova SS Drag Car

I took two Xpro Chassis systems and made an extended version Drag racing chassis. I mounted a Revell 1/25th Scale 69 Chevy Nova SS body which I painted primer gray. Kinda looks authentic this way. We left stock fets but run a PN Racing 07 motor with Lithium Ion power. Note the battery pack (a 650 mah 7.4V 2 cell pack) hanging out in the rear for incredible traction. I found some Xmod radial tires for the front and high grip slicks for the back. This thing moves! An easy hole shot, on high traction surfaces and clean tires this thing leaps in the air. Check the photos! This is all fun....real American Muscle just as GM struggles to stay in business in the USA. Let's hope they stay.

all i can say is WHEELIE BAR and WRINKLEWALL DRAG SLICKS.
the rear tires look a bit...too thin for drag racing

Nice. Novas...nice. My mom used to have a Nova while my uncle had a Vega and my dad had a Firebird. Very nice and the color...perfect for an American Muscle

Thanks! I am looking for bigger rear tires....but I want something that actually works as slicks, not just tires that look the part. Any suggestions?

I would suggest some sort of skid plate protecting the LiIon batteries. If in the event it actually does wheelie and skid along those batteries, it could end up with busted and useless cells.

Awesome project yet again, DIY! =]

I was gonna say that Donzii. Yeah skids would be good. Maybe a skidplate built to look like a wheely bar or be a functional one would be cool.

Hey, what ever you do, dont do the blue color, I've been wanting to do my favorite car (Nova), and it will be blue. If you do so happen to make it blue, I will see to it, that mine will beat your in looks and in performance, lol.

Looks good.

there are these lego tires, very soft rubber=high grip, minimal threads and arguably good size-the ones in the front, but these look a little slick, it might be the picture though

Thanks for the info regarding the tires in the post two up, I will check them out when I get a chance. Thanks for the positive feedback and ideas regarding a wheelie bar-I kinda got lazy and and decided to forgo the bar as I am not used to actually having to put a body together....let alone paint it. I am more of a chassis and electronics guy.
Thanks!

Can you take a picture of where you mounted it? Because it doesnt show where you mounted both rear and front clip mount.
