Default August '08-'09 Buildoff 1972 Mercury Comet

so i bought this car about two weeks ago for $300. it runs very well.
its a three speed automatic on the tree. i plan on moving it two a floor shifter. im pretty sure its a 3.0liter but its the original inline six. its not very fast but its alot of to drive. but right know the power steering pump its out and i need to bleed the brakes, so right now its not safe but i still drive it around.
so here she goes,

more pics later photo bucket decided to start being slow.

Welcome to rust.

It's much like a bad girl friend. Sure, the girl may look great, and be a good runner. But inside, there is something growing. Something, unrelenting, and evil. It spreads like cancer. Eating away at your soul, and you wallet. No matter how much you try and please it, it continues on and on and on, until either your patience, or wallet, runs out.

Rust: My enemy.

Looks like a good project. I think the cars that nobody really knows about are more fun than the common ones. I'm trying to get my hands on an 80s Olds Cutlass(Olds version of the Buick GN or Chevy MC), but I may have to settle for a Monte Carlo.
