No sense in selling a car if its still runs good and looks good. Though, thats not the mentality of some.

My '69 Chevy has a mear 46,000 though No wonder the motor and trans were pulled

or, you're entirely missing the point if you're looking for speed out of a pickup. that's like buying a lotus elise, and then filling all the unused space in the body with concrete. a prius is a better option, light, aerodynamic, great weight distribution.

the Ram SRT10 is the automotive equivalent of the F-4 Phantom....proof that even an aerodynamic brick can fly with enough motor strapped to it

and.....like I said, anything but a base Titan would cost more than a Ram SRT-10. I'd doubt the titan more.

I drive a Focus sedan, it's white, it's got 65K on it. My wife has a PT, it's silver, it's got 100K on it. Both are starting to look like crap with so many door dings and scratches.

I would ride my bike or something...but I have to dress in "office attire" which is collared shirt, tucked in and dress pants. And with Houston being humid as crap I can't walk into work all sweaty.

I still have a few years. I'm 14. (Yea, so I lied when I regestered. I'm not really 16 like my profile says.) But anyway, when I can drive, I'm buying my parents 2001 Chevy Suburban for about $3,000. But, until I feel like buying, I am driving my dad's 1989 Chevy Pickup. Once I start driving, there will be 2 12" Subwoofers and 15" in the back of the 'Burban. The it will have an in-dash dvd player, 2 moniters in the sun visors, a moniter in the frontseat head rests, and 2nd row head rests for the third row to watch, and a ps2 modded to fit into the center console of it. Yea, it's gonna be badass. And no, I'm not joking or fantasizing, this really will happen. If I can remember by that time, I will post a WIP of my whip on here. (Haha I just had to say that. WIP of a whip.) The '89 Pickup already has 3 12" subs in it, so im set for now.

I'll get pics of the Suburban later. (Like maybe Monday.)

Edit - Yea, I will spend at least 3 times as much on the car than the car itself once I'm done with it. The stuff I listed up there is not all I'm doing to it. Some other things I have in mind are shaving the handles, emblems, and gettin custom taillights, and some 24" rims with real rubies in it. Yes, I do make enough to pay for this.

Ive spent way too much on my car tho, haha but i just cant stop, im getting new 18" staggered this week. Ill post up pics then

I love reading this thread! especially all the under 16 kids telling what they are going to do to their cars WHEN they turn 16. I can remember when I was 16 and just starting to drive, I worked a full time job just to keep gas in mine and pay for the insurance on it. BUT I guess when your parents are willing to pay for everything without requiring your input then you can probably get anything you want.
I would love to see this thread keep going and see pictures of all these cars and what they have done to them with "THEIR" money.

I was in the same boat as you bought my own cars and paid for everything for them. If your parents pay for your whips then you will tear it up with no personal loss to you. I think parents need to let there kids pay for their own cars with money they earn. Back in school you could tell who's mommy and daddy paid for their cars.

Yeah it is really interesting to drive by the local highschool and see all the high dollar cars sitting in the students lot.

My first car that I bought (actually bought 2 of them) was a 1962 Plymouth Belvedere (one was my parents neighbor and the other belonged to the man who ran the bulk plant that supplied gas for our service station(theres something you don't see many of any more))
they both had 318 ci engines with auto's (Jukebox shifters) and Banjo Steering wheels and would smoke the tires with no problem (without having to use the brakes)
Great cars and I wish I still had them.

Im glad you guys brought that up, I HATE the kids who roll up in a car mommy and daddy paid for, thinking their hot ****. Im goin to laugh at them when I roll up in the Chevy, built up by me, and side-by-side, will grab way more attention than any one car in that lot. Not to mention be louder than any, since my truck doesnt have to go by modern smog emissions standereds, just the ones in '69, if any. Plus, in Texas you can have as loud of an exhaust as you want, as long as it passes emissions.
