What the headlight lenses?

Easy... just scrape away at the glue holding them in place with your X-Knife do it gentle so you don't break the arms of the back of them but it shouldn't take more than a few scrapes to get the glue off and then push the lenses out.

The hood has about three bubbles in it :/
and the rims are hard to paint..
other than that i'm good, haha :]

looks pretty good as long as the grey is'nt a gloss...

if you have bubble on the hood then i would suggest to stop, sand it back down and spray it again if you didnt already know.
the bubbles mean there's a lack of adhesion and there is nothing you can do to remedy this short of starting over.
just make sure you sand the parent surface well and use light dust coats.

keep up the good work.

BTW, welcome to XMS

Coming along nicely. If you need to touch up things, like add black to the grill etc. a tooth pic works to get into the hard to paint places without leaving many brush strokes.

Great work so far.

I put it together to see what it'll look like, but i need some opinions.

Should I paint the top of the car gray, or does anyone know what the top of the real car is..

but here's some pics:

I also filled in the trunk with putty.

I would go with a black top and trunk. It would make a nice accent to the grey.

The rims look good.... did you use regular spray paint for them or something else?

I just used a little jar of model paint and a brush with lots and lots of coats.

either black or a similar shade to what you have on the wheels.
if it was me though i would eitherpaint the blue and add a matching pinstripe at the door line or paint the whole top half of the car stopping at the door line.
something to ponder, black top half stopped at the door line with a red pinstripe.......wit would tie in the red wheels nicely

BTW, props on the wheels,i've brushed a couple sets and they arent for the impatient.
once you get one done you look down and realize you got three to go.

all in all though, it's looking pretty **** good for your first car.

PS, if you want to drive your car again, bat your eyelashes at some of these horndogs. i bet you get a beater shell immediately. and i'm sure it would be free of charge.....

PSS, congrats on becoming the most popular new member...lol
