Well today i started to move the Universal cat froward more, took about 4 hours... still not done... i cut out the section of Exhaust i needed to to fit the Cat. into place, and to my surprise i find out the whole top of the tubbing has basically been flattened... both sides, i cut out a started perfectly round then went flat at the top. so yea ill get it done later this week hopefully. I have some pics of how its sitting now and how it was before i cut it up.
Before:

How it sits now:

Also when i bought the car last year basically the entire rear of the exhaust was gone(rigth after it goes over the suspension)

Or run it by a ghetto inspection shop and get it passed. If you talk to the right people you can find places that "inspect"... Meaning they check for your lights and don't care about your pipes. Riceboys will know, since you know, taking off the Catalytic converter really makes them faster. This will take care of your temporary problem with emissions and you can put in a proper exhaust system.

Take note that some cars just tend to use cats due to the way they were "tuned" from the factory. While most newer ones have flash updates to prolong the life, while others don't. But this is rare.

either way,it deserves attention.
he might have fixed it already,i don't know,i admit that i sped read the thread.

edit
just looking at the pics,it's no wonder that the cat wasn't functioning.
that far back with sloppy/incomplete welds and 385 joints........
i'm suprised it had enough backpressure to continue firing...

Thats what ill be doing once i put the Turbos in since ill prob only be running mufflers so i dont get pulled over all the dang time.

Also to tell you the truth if i was able to find a decent priced exhaust for this car i would have replaced the whole thing, but i cant barely find parts for this thing let alone exhaust system stuff. If i was gonna get replacement Cats id have to order online. I will just end up getting rid of the whole system once it just barely passes inspection anyway.

EDIT: Yea the whole exhaust systems pretty much **** i wish i could find a direct replacement that wouldn't run me over 1k

hacksaw those packs off,run straight pipes cut at a 45 from the ground up and REALLY make it worth your while
there's NOTHING like the sound of a properly tuned, straight piped domestic V8.

Well all i have to do now is to tighten 2 exhaust clamps and then wrap everything in muffler tape. heres how it sits right now.

No its not permanent, This is to just get it through inspection, then the WHOLE systems going for custom ones, that goes with the custom twin turbo, the whole system right now is basically screwed.
