it technically isn't a mustang, its a saleen s281. the movie company couldn't get the right to use the mustang name from ford, ford probably didn't want their mustang getting the bad guy image.

Or chevy paid big bucks to get their cars into the movie and that could be why they never said it was a mustang. watch some commercials sometime. in the chips ahoy one they are driving a mustang but the emblem is removed, it is that way in several other commercials as well.

how much did it cost?
That Saleen would look nice without all the cop car stuff and a new paint job. The body is killer.

the cop stuff is removeable and you can always through a new paint job on it.

That is the same plan Im going with. Im gonna buy it and then strip the cop car stuff and then paint it. There is a bit of difference in the mustang and the saleen. Although they both have the same frame, the body style of the saleen looks hotter. It has an awesome body kit with killer rims.

Uh, I did my own
The barricade car really ticked me off. I spent about 100-150 on my CUSTOM MADE SALEEN S281E! I made it out of a ford mustang, it was so original at the time, nobody that I knew of had ever done a saleen of any kind. Now, everybody's going to get barricade, strip the cop stuff down, and be cruising in the S213S, almost identical to mine, when I stood there, molding, soldering, sawing, and such. Oh well, I'm just being paranoid i guess. Oh, I got barricade, even tho he ticked me off, I still like the whole aspect of the Po-Po xmod

Clearing up a few things
Ok, just letting you guys in on some previously asked questions in one place.
Body parts: non interchangable Police bar: removable Wheel bushings: Tighter fit Any differences in regular evo: Blue EP, different controler look 2 light kits: No, CLL uses most of the power. XM's comments: I really like this car, it's sleek and clean. Oh, and it's not a Saleen Mustang, it's a Saleen S218-Supercharged. I love chasing my friends' cars around. They're a lil' jeleaous. All in all, a great buy.

I got new upgrades for it today. I got the metal bearings, stage2 motor, awd, and neon. This car is nice. You dont need any body parts for it. It comes with a preinstalled body kit. You cannot change it out with any other mustang though. All in all, this car rocks.
