Without getting too deep, they manipulate the pressure pulses in the exhaust and actually create a stronger vacuum in the crankcase resulting in a larger amount of fuel and air being drawn into the engine. Look up 2 stroke "scavenging", that is the whole principal behind it.

3rd came today, going to try to get them all out tomorrow. pics for sure and will work on a video. 2 have tuned pipes, malcolm decided not to mount his tuned pipe (smart kid) because he wants to get used to it stock first. David wanted his pipe on before there was ever a drop of gas in it.

You have speedbumps or a dirt road? pit them against each other and jump over the bumps and dirt. get a comparison pic against a real car. i want to see the size diff. I know its ginormous but i want to see a comparision. Are parts compatible from other brands like the Propulse and RC18's?

Uhhhh, the propulse is about the size of one of the tires so parts are nowhere near interchangeable. Unless I read what you wrote wrong.

AHHHHH, I get it. There is the KM001, and the HPI baja. They are identical and parts from either will work.

How's the kid at driving?

Awesome, BART. Just plain awesome. Wish I had a Dad as cool as you.

Cheers,
Kyle.

The kid (malcolm) is a good driver, not so much with a camera though...too fidgety. If David gets feeling better we will paint his tonight and hopefully get all 3 out tomorrow.

No secrets here bud. Mine was just over 600 and i bought the spektrum for another 150. The boys were 499.99 and 3 tuned pipes were 60 each....so $1,930 bucks so far.

Oh wait, i broke my front shocks (before i ever ran it) so i'm at about 2k.

What did you get? Those KM Bajas or HPI Baja 5B's? I'm saving for an Aquacraft Rio 51 Gas boat because if you know me with rc's let alone boats...you'll understand. Nice score on them however. Yeah hobby RC can be very expensive. With all 25 of mine, I have run up to over 3K in total for parts, upgrades and just the RC's themselves. I lost count after 3K by the way... LOL!
