It is not a Honda of any type.
EDIT: Tex, check out the indicators on the front clip...

I don't know how closer this:

And that can get^ http://www.cargurus.com/Cars/Picture...982-Civic.html

Maybe a chinese knock-off, but besides that grille shell, the car is a Civic. Side marker placements can change based on where it's made, or what market it's for. And, when searching the pics of these 2nd gens, I see pics of them in both places. (check the green hatch on wiki)

One is European, the other is North American. The badge is either missing or replaced with something else, I can't see.

As for the indicators, North Americans as far as I know, Alberta, Canada, needs side indicators for their cars. I'm not 100% sure on other states, but I've got a feeling that it IS indeed a 1980-1983 Civic.

But LOOK CLOSER! Look at the body line going down the side of the car... Sweed's pic runs down the side and THROUGH the door handles, while the Civic in Texan's pic DOESN'T!

May be its just me, but I want to take a stab that the blue Civic in Texan's pic has such bad glare that the stripe doing down through the doorhandles was glared out altogether... The line above the doorhandles may be a pinstripe decal...

I can see a faint hint of body line on Texan's blue Civic before the rear door handle...

I'm calling European vs. USDM Civic of 80-83 era

That's a pinstripe on the side of the bottom pic. For the minor differences, either the car's trim level, year, or the market it was sold in. Or a chinese knock-off.

Edit: For EX, this '81 Hatchback has the same bumper as the one I posted above, with the same side marker as sweeds. Same front marker lights as sweed's too (white/amber). Sorta proves the other theories besides the body line, but their ain't any, if at all pics of the sedan at every year... that I can find.

Either that, or an older honda accord. Has the body line and all, just a different grille totally, and minus a side marker (varying by market): http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...6/Accord82.jpg

Or some knock-off of the honda car..

It's not a Honda like a Dodge Stealth ain't a Mitsubishi 3000GT, and a Talon Eagle ain't a Eclipse, and the Pontiac Vibe ain't a Toyota Matrix. Badge engineering, or a knock-off. I don't think two separate manufactures can make something so identical. Or it's chinese, because that's all they do.
