I'm not trying to get in a ****ing match... Lol. I didn't check the links but I'm assuming by the price that those are aluminum parts not stock parts which are half or more of that.... And if I'm trying to get the cheapest price I wouldn't buy from atomicmods I would google shopping search and list them from low to high... You'll find stock parts even cheaper.. $198 is rediculous to spend on this and I wouldn't refer anyone to expensive aluminum parts for this conversion.. When the wife gets off the pc I'll post links to price more then half your quote. and WOAHHHHHHHH... I said a million times an iwaver or RV board which can be got for $15-$25... you can find a iwaver RTR and get the remote with it for $55.00 and you got a remote and a board.. Also if you just got an iwaver or RV board you can find AM remotes for $10 or less.

here we go, xxx is a great person and i have nothing against him, i was just trying to give my opinion

starterkit=$50, we all know from rs...
stock swing shafts=

atomic has them for $14(minus shipping) i put them at $10

ma10 knuckles

i had them at $20 atomic had them for $18 (not including shipping

i had posted at $30.... atomic has them for $100 without shipping.

i had for $20 atomic had them for $30 (minus shipping)..

now that i have the pages to back it up.... it puts you at $198 minus shipping.

hmm, lets see, i had guessed around $150..... and you said my quotes were 2x over priced... well tell me xxx. whatd $198 minus $150?

if you ask me i'd rather have the awd.

Here, I'll give a shot for you.

I have heard that people were picking up Xmods for $25 at RS.

So $25 for xmod.

MA-010 stock swing shafts are $13.95 from ww.rckenon.com

So $13.95 for swing shafts from tinyrc.com shop

Next up, knuckles. Going price is around $6.95 for four with 0 camber. Cambered knuckles are $6.99 for two even in plastic from tinyrc.com

So $6.95 knuckles all around.

We will now go for the board. Well, frankly, I don't know where to find an iwaver board. Someone will have to give me the price for that.

I can't find a KT-5 anywhere (stock Mini-Z transmitter) But I know they can be purchased used for around 20 bucks.

20 bucks used or 30 new for Tx

So my guess is a iwaver PCB is around $30 bucks, so thats just a guess.

So my guess is around $96 to $106 bucks for those parts without shipping. Buying used could save big though. I'd say shipping would be around $5 bucks for Tx, $3 per for the small stuff plus tax on Xmod (providing you got it on sale) at $1.25

So roughly $115 to $125 for everything shipped. If you have an xmod then its like $90-100 and if you don't want to convert to a new board you can subtract $30 for the board and $30 or so for TX. Looking then at $30ish.

Maybe this is a better guess?

Im assuming everyone has an XMod, and not going out to put this kit together, so I am not including that price... BUT, you can get them right now for $24.00 not $50 from RS.

-Knuckles: $6.99 for all 4: http://shop.tinyrc.com/product.php?productid=17225

-CVD's: $12.00 (AM will give 10% off so the ones u posted are actually $12) http://cgi.ebay.com/Kyosho-Mini-Z-AW...item3ca542ab2f

-RV board: $26.00: http://www.miracle-mart.com/store/in...oducts_id=2218

-iwaver RTR: u get a remote and the PCB: $53.00: http://www.miracle-mart.com/store/in...oducts_id=3805

-iwaver RTR: should be able to use this as well and for less: :$40.00: http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-...n-70-33fb.html

-iwaver RTR again even cheaper: $30.00: http://www.alawoo.com/rc-car-iw02-1-..._store=default

Xmod: $25
knuckles: $7
Swing Shafts: $12
PCB/remote: $30
TOTAL: $74.00

With a good 30 minutes searching the NET you could get everything even cheaper.

read my post after yours..... you hit it perfect. (except i think your quote was without swapping the board) about $45 if you don't count the Xmod you already have.. LOL cheaper if you search the net.. ive gotten iwaver and RV boards for as little as $10 each, and wholesale remotes or ebay for as low as $5-$10 which savs the expense of spending $30 on a RTR iwaver...

srsly. stock parts aren'thard to find, and they aren't terribly expensive. RV project boards are just 50 bucks, and the conversion won't be too much either.

have you considered ABS plastic?

Yes I have considered ABS, but one side is textured, so I don't think I want to use it. If you go back to one of my last couple posts, I have a link for RV Projects boards... they are only $26.00 now.

why are you trying to compare an xmod to a mini-z

the ONLY similarity is the scale
Z's are born of the track xmods are for x-modding hence the name

and fyi to get an ma010 to anywhere near competitive to an mr02 you have to pump a load of cash into them so this isnt a comparison , what you are arguing is to make an xmod race worthy it will be expensive .....well hell the same can be said to get an ma010 race worthy

aside from all of that this is meant to be for ideas on xmod not what car is the best and how much we should spend on our hobby

Sweet, I can't wait to see what you got. I know there has been interest in getting the crawler motor ready. Get the tut up soon.

I race MA-010. They are more expensive to make race worthy, but not ridiculous.

Yea, I remember a Vette. But I was thinking of different models and what not. I'm looking for a lexan body now, cause model bodies are just way too heavy.
