well it can cost 500 bucks to get a certain 3D printer
I believe it's called the Desktop Factory
get a free CAD design and make a 3d model in CAD, then print it out using the 3d printer
each layer is .1 inch thick and will fuse with the layers under it, and i think if you just make the hub thingy, it shouldn't be too hard to design on CAD
then you can print other things like a whole new Xmod body (that'd be sweet to have a custom body make of one peice plastic that was actually meant for the xmod...)

supposedly the cheapest one out there

im sure not goin throu all that to build a few of these things, my step dad is and inventer so i have all kinds of cool or just strange tools in my garage, half of it works the other half needs to be fixed, but when it comes to machining random parts i can do it

haha, i have no clue how small they are, i think there about half the size of the xmod ones
