Default Lancer Evolution VIII MR Circuit Car

Ok, well those of you who hadn't seen, last september I started a paint job on my lancer which came out nice but hadn't met my tastes just yet. I havne't done much since because of school, but this winter break i've been a little bored so I started working on some of my little projects. They'll be other posts with the other cars coming around with time, for now I'm focusing on my lancer.

My Lancer's come a long way, even with basic RS parts it was nothing to take lightly (as my friends began to consider it being possessed by the devil lol). Originally built just for fun speed driving, it's grown on me a lot as a circuit car, and so it shall be. Below is a list of mods followed by pics. (I would like to note that mods written in Red have not been installed yet, but are in the works.)

Enjoy...

[SPECS]

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR (White)
Lowered Xmods EVO Chasis w/3* Toe-In
Spider v3.0 Turbo (External FETs)
18g Wire Upgrade
Power Switch By-Pass
4x 900mA Energizer AAA Rechargeables
Team Redmade Pro Circuit Motor
All-Wheel Drive with Ball Bearings
Carbon Fiber Driveshaft
Soft FRNT/ Medium REAR Suspension
ZONE Z1 Gunmetal Grey Wheels w/Chrome Lip
Soft Treaded FRNT/REAR Tires

[PICS]

Body's Currently in the works, Fender's getting painted white soon (used black as a base).

The motor wires for the spider currently plug in with the tabs from the Stage 2 Motor, If anyone that's installed this before thinks I shouldn't have it set up like that, let me know and I'll just solder to the motor.

Heh, just messing with the camera...

Wow you jumped on this thread quick blt, somehow I had a feeling you'd be first post lol.

Actually haven't tested it with the spider in yet, as you know i just installed it a couple weeks back, but I dont really have a driving area at home, I drive up at school so I hope when I finsih up my paint jobs (chasis completely dissassembled right now, getting painted candy red with black accents) it all gets put together and bam a driving i will go lol.

My screw post for the spoiler broke so I might be stuck with the BK spoiler (the one thats like the stock lancer sing but a little smaller).

Thanks for the offer, If you don't need it I won't mind having it, however I don't necessarily need it myself. I say order a Lancer through RSU and keep the kit for it, who knows a virgin Evo would be nice, I might do the same lol, if RSU orders work for me.

Yea I'll deffinately test when I move back, my friend has a speed checker, though idk if it'll improve as much, not atleast untill I order that motor from Red. Then I'll be really interesting, I'm going to be testing all gearing on it. I think vids, if anything, will happen when I get that motor. Actually I'm going to train myself in picking gearing, I think to get used to the lancer I'm going to use a rewound motor first, then the Circuit Pro Motor.

@edgarsevo8 Please try to avoid spamming.

Just an Update:

The chasis is still in pieces (getting painted, it's almost done) Meanwhile, thanks to some things ordered from Eric at Maineiac-Motors The 18g Wire Upgrade is done and so is the Power Switch By-Pass. Aslo the motors from Red should be on there way in shortly. There'll be another update pre-circuit tuning and post-circuit tuning.

I understand its a compliment, but its a short post you know? It's considered spam not for the content, but its written in the rules to avoid writing short responses like "nice". I mean naturally I appreciate it, and in no way am I saying something negative, I just don't want to see another member being banned or warned for not follwing what they agreed to do when they joined. (No offense or anything, I just hope you understand.)

Thanks for the comments.

I think you could clean up the body a little bit, but I love the paint scheme, inside and out. Red on black looks quite good.

Well the Chasis's a bit dirty because i was driving it before taking the pics :P i was excited lol. The Lancer body is cleaner, It wasn't done being painted in the OP and I agree I still need to clean it. It's beeing really tempermental cause its been sanded and painted so much that the window lines are somewhat gone and such. lol well more to come later i suppose when I clean it up.

Looks really good. The body does need to be cleaned and fixed up a bit. I know what you mean when the body is tempermental because i have painted my evo several times too. Keep us updated.
