6-cell and fet upgrade?
ok, i'm in the process of making a h2 crawler(first project) and i just installed the 4-wheel drive upgrade, and it barely moves. i have the rs stage2 motor( dont want to use a servo) should i install the 6cell and upgrade the fets? and if so , what fet setup should i use?

no, the thing barely moves , so i am asking if i should upgrade to 6cell and upgrade fets, or go with a different setup

You need the bearing kit....its almost mandatory for an efficient 4x4...
6 Cell and Fets are also good upgrades...2x3 fets should be fine, others can correct me but youll gain plenty from this, especially if your not using a hot motor. Be warned though six cell on a crawler could make it heavy, which could be great or terribly bad.... Youll also need the Offroad upgrade to get any clearance...(good luck those kits are rare now...) |

go with a different setup, get some radline motors those are better for torque if you want a bit better crawler. i'm using radline modified motor and its pretty good compared to stage 2 motor.

Make sure you have all the bushings/bearings in place, and make sure you have the right driveshaft in place.

The stage 2 motor is used to go faster, with low torque.
So, it has high RPM's, and low torque. Use a stage 2 motor can, and a stage 1 motor arm, and get NEO magnets, then you will have a nice amount of torque and RPM's.

im kinda new to this whole "rebuild motor" thing, where would i get NEO magnets? and should i rewind it? and does it mater if i use a stage 1 or 2 motor can?if so , what is the difference?

Should you rewind your motor, that's up to you, it will perform better, but it takes time for it to have a good outcome. S1 and s2 cans are the same. No differences, if you feel the need, you could always grab a ball-bearing can, but I do not find it all that necessary for crawler setups. Stock wise, the fets should be fine for crawling..6 cell isn't needed for a crawler setup, it only adds more power, which isn't all that necessary. 4.8V, and the right motor, and chassis rig, you will be set. i would suggest lithium instead of 6-cell. it gives so much more power, and its less weight. you have no idea what kind of performance increase they actually provide intil you drive it

yah i know, but some little freaking kid was messing with it and left it on, so the lithium batteries died and im out of money so i cant buy anymore, but ill work on getting some more instead of using 6cell

That would more then likely be the root of all your problems is the drivetrain locking up with the DIY bushing.

You put in the AWD, and the thing barely moves, I'd call that locking up.
Rebuild it with a bushing the right size or else this exact thing happens. Been there, done that. You can PM Subarudriftboy on here and ask him.
