![]() Hey guys, I've been searching around the past couple of days looking for forums and parts, and I decided to join up here.
My Xmod is a black Nissan Skyline that I bought back around when they first came out. I've had this for awhile but I'm new to this scene, namely because of a few problems I had with this. The cheap plastic lug nuts that hold the wheels on kept breaking to the point where I no longer have any to hold the wheel on. The last time it ran the front wheel lug broke and the wheel flew off, the car slammed into a wall and broke the mirror and snapped 2 of the other remaining lung nuts. I got frustrated and just ended up putting the thing away and forgot about it. I was going through my things and recently found it and now I want to fix it. I've been hunting around for some solutions and I think I have found something and just need to get the parts. Hopefully I can fix this thing, and then I want to start modding it and I'm hoping you guys can help me with that. I was thinking about getting an Evo, but I'm in Canada and they are hard to come by. Here are some pics: ![]() ![]() The specs: Car was ran maybe 8 times so its in great shape aside from the mirror. Its got the suspension upgrade which had run only once (when the wheel flew off) before I boxed it. It also has command logic lights and ground effects, it is otherwise stock. |

![]() Welcome, read the rules and understand them and there would be no trouble.
As for your problem, buy some alloy lugnuts. You can get them from various places. I can give you some links if you wish. The chassis is awfully clean, dont think I've seen one like that for ages now! And dont run with your mirrors on, they break off too easily. |

![]() I know I can get some that work from The Source from what I have read, and also from AtomicMods. If you have other links though it would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: Oh and if you know other options for bearings as well that would be great, I lost a couple and can't find them. |

![]() Well, heres a bunch. Different colors and all.
http://www.xmodsinternational.com/US...MINUMPARTS.htm eBay also have a few. Just gotta look around. As for your bearings, would you like stock plastic [cheaper, crappy] or metal bearings? [more expensive, better]. You would need to know how to keep the metal bearings in good shape. And theres lots of different kinds. Open Sealed Ceramics Atomicmods SHOULD tell you the differences and such if you look around. If you dont mind me asking, where in Canada are you? |

I'm in Ontario in the GTA Do you know if Atomic still sells aluminum parts? Some are still listed but are out of stock I was just wondering if they are still available or not? I also was hoping to find the AWD upgrade for it but I know that's a stretch. Last edited by Sidewinder; 10-13-2008 at 05:20 PM.. |

![]() welcome to xms! read the rules and have fun. thats a nice gen 1 you got there, and for bearing i'd get the wide track bearing just cuz they help with the wheel wobble, but then again there isnt much wheel wobble on gen 1's compared to the evo's. and to clean the bearing use some wd-40, thats what i do

Thanks! I have a lot planned for it provided I can find parts, and I'm debating on what kind of build I want to do. I do know that i want to race it and for it to be drivable. |
