Default Quick In Dirrrty

So been wanting to do this project for quite a while. finally got the body to do it too. Quick and dirty because it was a quick and dirty build. Concidering its only taken a couple hours to call it near complete. Plus i plan on getting it dirty out side

Inpiration comes from my buddy tyler

Started out with a brand new starter kit.

Not the exact color. but closest i could find. so it will serve its purpose not 100% done, but 99%. i got a couple more small things i want to do, and it will be wraped up

It needs something to make it stand out more, its pretty dull. Maybe a camo look would fit better, or a two tone with brown at the bottom. I know that this means moving a little further from your inspiration, but it'll look awesome.
Nice paintjob, as always, though.

its suppose to look dull. its called a satin paint job. not ment to stand out. ment to blend in... i think you missed the point.

Heres the final mods. Evo wheels, custom gen 1 underglow.

are you going to paint the rims? and give this car to him or add it to your garage? btw where'd you get a NIB starter kit, or i should say for how much? overall nice work it looks crisp and semi-ironically CLEAN lol

do you sand the bodies you paint or even add primer, cuz they all look really good and you seem to make it look like a peice of cake

na im not giving it to him, this is my collection
I dont plan on painting the wheels, i like the bronze on green. so ill probably leave them for now. how ever i might be changing to a set of black NSX wheels.

Got the kit on ebay, for 84 bucks.

You MUST sand the bodys, paint jobs will just not properly stick if you dont. mask off the windows... sand the crap out of every inch so theres no more glossy. take hot soapy water (dawn is the best) and sponge the parts clean from all the sanding dust. dry well. and start spraying your color. try not to get the tape wet so you dont have to remask the windows again.

i dont use primer ever. its not needed. its worthless, and is nothing but an extra layer to make your paint jobs to thick and ruin the body lines.

to set up a proper painting surface with out using primer, you spray the lightest mist of your color your possibly can. just barley speckle it. small particles stick better than large particles and dry faster and easier. And of coures paint sticks to its self better than anything else. So that preps a good surface for the next layer to stick too. Then with in like 5 minutes it will be pretty dry and you spray another light mist. just barley speckling it again. and you just repeat over and over untill you have complete coverage. i spray on the average of 10-15 coats.

body filler is a different story. if you used bondo you will probably need to use a good primer.

but on standard xmod plastic, primer is not needed. ive never used it and ive painted more bodys than i can count.

I say paint the deck of the spoiler flat black, same with the wheels. Maybe a lexan front lip/splitter?

If you are going with the wing, you might as well do the hood, but leave the scoop the green. The fog lamp holes would be nice to. Just to break up the green.

The red wheels on the other picture worked pretty well....

on the wing, just do the wing plane carbon and keep the canards green. are you gonna put a little pine tree air freshener in there like the real one. I like the way the bug eyes look. are there any mechanical differences, or is it just cosmetic? i mean the full size car.
