Are you talking about sharing a cd drive in on machine with another networked machine or a completely stand-alone cd drive accessible by all machines on the network?

I want a cd drive I can access with any computer on the network.
Here's what the finished network will consist of: 3 laptops, 1 WDTV with HDD, another HDD, and a printer. The HDDs and printer are accessible by all 3 laptops, and I want a cd drive also accessible by all 3, if that's possible.

hmmm let me see if I can find anything... however I know that from XP Service Pack 3 and above Microsoft added something called "DMCA-compliance restriction" that severely limits what can be done with networked CD/DVD drives in a effort to stop illegal copying but I'll see if I can figure something simple out for you.
