Need help w/ Motor
Hey
I just purchased a Stage 20 Motor on ebay and I need some help with my choices on what to purchse next. I have been talking to some other people and they told me i should get FET Upgrade? What is that? I have everything stock except the body kit and i would like to buy more performance upgrade. And if you are listing something if you can tell me the webpage where it would be best to purchases these items from. Thanks to whoever writes back.

a guy could sit here and list several thing to do, but by the time he was done the Xmod would be pimped right out anyhow. But for the first 2 things I would recommend:
1. Ballbearings 2. NiMH batteries or better such as Lith-ions

I would go with a FET upgrade or a power management board like the V2 , just in case that motor pulls more amps than the stock FETs can handle. Then like Torredo suggested, get the bearing upgrade and a set of wide track bearings and li-ion upgrade. www.atomicmods.com has all of this things.

hey
thanks for all your time guys...but im still confused about the batteries. I have the green rechargables from radioshack. Are those the right ones to have? And another thing i have stage 2 upgrade and my tires keep slipping off so im wondering how im gonna keep them on with Stage 20!!! Thanks again for your time guys!

go to radioshack and purchase 4562 fets(field effect transistor), purchase 4 of them, and go to atomicmods.com and go through the bypass switch tutorial and then find the page that shows you how to install the fet's. but dont buy any from atomicmods.com he is a frickin rip off.

to my knowledge, RS doesn't sell the 4562 FET. Try www.mouser.com and type in si4562dy in the site search bar. good luck

Yea same here.....RS doesnt sell the FETs, I asked
awhile back and they looked at me like i was on glue! rofl
