Default XMS BUILDOFF: '69 Dodge Super Bee

Hello guys/girls,
I just started a project for the XMS "Summer of '69" buildoff - it's a '69 Dodge Super Bee.

This project is just getting started but it will look more like the picture on the box - I have decided to go with a more factory stock look and it should also look abit more realistic imo. The color will be RED and the hood will be black also, tires are custom Goodyear Eagle tires fitted on Custom Alloy rims, and the chassis will be custom made to accommodate more details ad other little stuff.

Thanks for watching and more updaes to come soon.

Thanks guys! Hopefully I can make this one come out nice - after doing so much trucks it's about time to tackle a car again.

Here's a little update so far:

Just added a silver base coat which is looking pretty nice so far - i'm still working on the chassis so I don't have any pics of that just yet. The first coat of paint will be going on afeter I masked off a few little details on the body later today - more updates to come soon.

Default Update: 7.29.08

Hey guys, sorry for taking so long to update this project - i've been alittle more busy that usual lately .

Ok, so far i've painted the body already and but I still have to do alot of touch ups and small details (paint and appearance details).
Here's a couple progress pics for the moment until I get more work done:

This is the look that i'm going for (except for the rims):

I'll keep you guys updted on my progress.

BTW: while I was posting this there was a 5.8 Earthquake that hit about 2 miles out of Chino Hills is L.A. county Cali. - It lasted for about 20-30 secs so i had to jump up from my desk and do by the front door just in case it got worst . So far no major damages but it's was scary imo.

I love that SuperBee! I think you're giving us all a run for our money!

Ha... earthquakes. I was born in Orange county CA, so I was young when I first expirenced earthquakes. In fact I think there was an earthquake on my 3rd day back from the hospital. But I'm so used to 'quakes that i just sleep through them!

Can I get a close up of those wheels? I might be interested in them if they are like what I'm thinking they are..

That is if you'll get rid of them.

Not quite what I was thinking.

I thought they were like the Torque Thrust II's that I had on my Camaro.

Does AM have anything like those?

Sorry to get off track there, those wheels just spiked my interest.

Car looks really good so far. Also, does that lift function or is it just looks?
