Default RED's Broken Antenna Exhaust!

Okay, I've gotten some pretty nice replies for my Supra's exhaust and one of our members wanted me to make a how-to. So here you go!

Materials:
- Antenna
- CA (cyanoacrylate) krazy glue, super glue, whatever you want to call it
- precision screwdriver set (mainly used for poking and reaming)
- side-cutters (for cutting)
- Dremel w/ cut-off wheel (not mandatory)

You can use a Dremel with a cut-off wheel to make cleaner cuts instead of using the side-cutters. It is recommended, but of course, not everyone has a Dremel, so side-cutters are easier to find in your/your parent's tool box. If you don't have side-cutters, they're only $5. But they weren't designed to cut this kind of metal, only small wires.

Step 1 - Find an antenna. Preferably a broken one (bent = broken). You really can't make much use of a bent antenna, so make a muffler our of it!

Step 2 - Take the end of your antenna (the threaded end) and use that as 'extention 3". From extention 3, count 2 more extentions and cut there. Cut the threaded part off ext.3 as well. Making sure that its extended when you do it, you don't want to cut into the other ext. just yet.

Step 3 - on ext.1, cut half of the tube and bend the extention until it forms a ^ shape. This is so that we can slide it out more easily later.

Step 4 - ream out the flat-spot you created at the end of ext.3 so you can slide ext.2 out of it.

Step 5 - This is what you should have:

Step 6 - Place a screwdriver (the largest precision philips-head you've got and ream ext.1 out of ext.2 so you have this:

Step 7 - Discard ext.1 since we don't need it anymore. Now insert ext.2 into ext.3's rear end when you cut. Making sure you've reamed it before you try to insert it. You will have something that looks like this:

Step 8 - Find out how long you want the smaller exhaust tip to stick out. BE REASONABLE! NO RICEY 3-inch long exhaust! Drop CA into the openings of ext.3 so we can temporarily lock in ext.2

Step 9 - After the CA has settled (about 1 minute), use the side-cutters to cut the tube into a shorter length.

Step 10 - Drop CA into the inside of ext.3 but on the outside of ext.2, making sure you don't get anything on the outside that could ruin the look.

Step 11 - Your new Fujitsubo Power Getter type RS exhaust is ready to be mounted on your body! See how it compares to the stock exhaust on the xmod. Pretty big difference, huh?

You can now mount it to your body by unscrewing the old exhaust tip (or cutting and sanding the surrounding area, as some stock bumpers have the exhaust tip molded it. Then just use some sandpaper to slightly scuff the shiny surface of the muffler and drop CA on it. Hold it on your body and wait a few seconds until it securely cures. Give it at least 5 minutes until its completely bonded.

Now your xmod is ready for action!

If you wanted to stick a red LED in the muffler, just ream out the other end by using a drill bit to make it a more perfect circle and then stuff in the LED. CA it so that it doesn't come out. And bam! You're done!
