I know this thread is VERy Old in terms of XMF, but I have something to add.

I created a RWD drifting trick that involved a locked front differential and front tires that are more slippery than the rears.

The front diff keeps the front tires from spinning independently, which keeps the car from spinning out too much. Having the front tires slip more allows the drift to be held longer, because the car needs to have a little front slip to let it slide more easily.

This is just my method of drifting with RWD. Still yet though, it takes a little time to master, because the rear will still want to swap places with the front. The locked diff, however, makes it a lot easier to drift like this.

With this little trick I was able to mimic handbrake style drifting, where you just push the trigger forward for only a half second and use throttle to balance out the car during the drift. I could also mimic power over drifting, where I just pull the trigger all the way for only half a second to start a drift. Then the last way I could drift was by lifting off the throttle about 75% to start the drift There's a very fine line of balance to drifting with my trick, but once you get the hang of it (and upgrade to electronics with finer throttle and steering control than stock Xmod electronics), drifting with RWD should be easier.

Again, I just have something to add to this thread, even though it's more than a month old.
