Deep Purple (Smoke on the Water),
Iron Maiden (Paschendale),
Motörhead (Brave New World),
Cradle of Filth (Temptation) and
Black Sabbath (Iron Man). Of course there is always the always famous Metallica, Led Zepplin and Van Halen. Some often think of AC/DC as heavy metal and they're always good.
I've liked everything
Shinedown (Sound of Madness) came out with as well but to me they're more rock, although you mostly only hear them on Heavy Metal stations..
Oh, can't forget Slipknot, Disturbed and all those other bands that eight, nine and ten year olds are hooked on due to Guitar Hero. Good bands though.
