The tape is so the wire doesn't get caught in the tire. Tape just keeps the two wires together. There is heatshrink under it. Yea I'm doing that tonight, soldered the whole thing in 10 minutes. Including the lithium pack
Had to go to my friends birthday party yesterday afternoon so right before I went to the track I soldered everything together.
