They have been using the axles and struts from the 1/43 ssmt's over on scale 4x4. A few have modded the 1/24th's though also.
If you do a search on ebay for FastLane (no space) almost all the way down the page, there is a 1/24 with the off road upgrade brand new in box for a decent price. It's not mine but I just noticed it a little bit ago. I would post a link, but im not sure hwat this site's policy is on doing so so you'll have to find it yourself.
