you need to sand and prep the body better and make sure its completely clean. use painter's masking tape (blue or green from an auto store) it works well. use lite coats and that keeps it from bleeding. i use the back end of (non cutting side of the blade) my x-acto knife to lightly push the tape into the creases. hope this helps and good luck
