circuit cars are not meant to be ultra fast. circuit cars ususally do not ever use lithiums and really fast motors. most use NiMH and a 50-70 turn motor which is not much faster than stock, but have slightly higher end magnets, allowing the motors to acheive slightly faster acceleration out of a corner. handling is the focus in circuit.

Exactly. Circuit cars are usually just how XMDrifter explained. But when we mod we are looking to make fun cars to play with, like racing friends in the driveway or at a local RC track. Thats where making Dragsters and Drift cars, and fun FAST lith cars for flying around a track and crashing or Crawlers ... and well anything fun you can think of.
