Paint slob

Ok I painted my F150 tonight and it looks like ****. I used krylon. I thought it was good paint. I f I sand it with real fine paper and do it again will it be good. I am so disgusted right now I feel like buying another body!!!

That a pain in the ace. How come you can't post from your hard drive?

thrillbilly 12-15-2006 11:41 PM

you can if you load them on here (xmodsource galleries) and get the direct link code and put it in the insert image box

If ya want to, start all over again with the same body instead of buying a new one. Use soemthing like Castrol degreaser (heard that stuff works wonders)

Not bad for a first time. You got all the right ideas. but try painting like from side to side.

Numbchux 12-16-2006 02:03 AM

it doesn't look too bad....

but yes, you can sand it down. use a coarse sandpaper to get the paint off, then smooth it out with finer stuff...get it VERY smooth.

Krylon is fine. just make sure you keep the can moving fast, and apply VERY thin coats. that will help ensure an even coat of paint.

Should you use acetone like on steel?

NO. acetone will eat away the plastic, aswell as the paint, and destroy your body.
