general questions about xmod

I am still fairly new with xmods. I was just wondering a couple thanks and will be very appreciative if any of you can provide any help.
1st thing,
LiPo batteries? what exactly is that. Is it higher power or something at the same volts? do you replace you AAA batteries with that? how do you charge it?

Next thing,
whats the highest top speed gear, example , 11-24 or something like that. teeth to teeth , and a link to buy it would be extra nice :)

What motors are faster than the stage 2?

How can I increase the range on my xmods, it can only go like 30 feet or so til ti starts spuddering and losing signal strength.

Thank you

they are a different type of battery, they are dangerous if not handled correctly. personaly i do not like them because they put to much power to the boardand cause lots of steering jitter which gets annoying after awhile. and yes, they are a replacement for AA's and you charge them with a lipo charger

they come with the stg2 motor kits. higher first number= higher speed. but higher speeds means less acceloration, i personaly perfer the stock gearing
