Getting into 1/10 Scale

I have a lot of questions...

Im getting out of Xmods. ( all going to bestdragon) and getting into higher grade RC's.

I'm getting this certain truck. I need some cheap ESC recommendations. It has to be able to handle a 28 turn 550 sized motor.

I'll update this thread when I get it, but for now I need some ESC recommendations. Im planning to use the battery packs from RadioShack, they are pretty reliable. For the RX and TX, I just can't afford that right now, so Im going to swap it back and forth with the Pro pulse. PP TX and RX are FM systems. ^^ Oh, of course, I need a nice high tourque servo, needs to be cheap of course. is HS-55 powerful enough for a 1/10 scale truck?

Get a used Traxxas XL5 ESC. You can find them littering CraigsList and eBay since everyone is switching to Traxxas' VXL brushless system.

No. Look into the Futaba S3003. I've been running that in my TRX Stampede for a while now without any problems. Good amount of torque and speed.

Cheers,
Kyle.

Mini-Z is also a higher grade R/C. :)

Nonetheless were sad to see you leave 1/28 scale.

You're by no means going to find a "great" servo for less than $30. That S3003 Futaba I posted a few posts up is a great basher servo and will last you a long time.

I'll see. My birthday is coming soon. Maybe i'll get lucky and get some parts.

EDIT: That is only 10 dollars. I thought it was 30... lmao..

I have the S3003 in all my electric trucks... They have lasted me over 3 years now... Amazing servo for it's price.:)
