Just pics of the body for now. It just was finished being painted. I might decide to go and do the hood black. Still some spots that need to be touched up with a small brush after it dries overnight. Tell me what you think. It's gonna be getting liths, awd, a special motor, and I wanna find a way to lower it. You cant really file down the rear mount area any more because the bumpers are stuck to the car so no way to file it. Ill find something though.

paint job looks good

looks like a nice job...whats the color deep purple/midnight blue?

babybat 06-07-2009 02:21 AM

The color is a metallic blue by Rust-oleum. It can be found at Lowes. The trick to the color change effect (idk if it's seen in the pic but it changes from black to blue) is a base coat of satin black. It got rid of the shine that I didnt want while keeping the glitter and when the light isn't hitting it theres sort of a flat black look.

Nice job on the paint. Looks like this is not your first paint job as everything is clean and crisp. Good job masking off the body. I would put about three coats of future floor wax on that baby and make it shine. A little secret of mine. Better than clearcoat.

looks perfect to me, if only whoever makes xmods now chose decent paint like that :D

Impressive...color looks good. Really clean paint job...no smears that I can tell from the photos. Very nice!

This is over a month old. Please don't bump old topics. ;)

Cheers,
Kyle.
