Video: Axial Takes a Drink; DKP
As many of you know, I am the proud owner of an Axial AX10. Throughout the past two years I have babied and loved this RC like it were to stay prestine forever. Well, not any more. After seeing the playplace I had accross the way in our backyard, there was nothing for me to do but drool and drive. As they say, a picture says a thousand words, so a video must mean a million! I apologize for the poor quality. I promise in the future to have better video once I purchase a new digital camcorder. All comments and criticism is wanted; even if they're about my cruddy driving abilities! Video Specifications: Taken with a Kodak EasyShare KS753 on May 23 & 24. Axial AX10 Specifications: ESC: Novak GOAT Crawler Brushless Motor: Novak GOAT Crawler Brushless 18.5. TX/RX: Spektrum DX3 Tires: Stock with stock foams. Chassis: Stock. Battery: Venom 3300mAh. Cheers, Kyle. Link to AX10 Thread. |
I dont know why you apologize, your a much better videographer than I am. And the only mixing i'm qualified to do is with oil and gas. Looks like that thing is a blast.

The quality is horrible--both from Photobucket's downsizing as well as the Kodak's bad video format. Hopefully I can pick up a JVC someday and get some real video.
Thanks for the comment. :) Cheers, Kyle. |
Are you planning on painting the body? I have mixed emotions about whether to leave it clear or not.
|
This is my beater body so it will stay clear. Really the only reason the body is on is for when it flips on it's lid. Some day I may purchase a shelf queen body for the hell of it and paint it green to match the Axial's linkage system, but for now, clear it is.
As well as protecting the lid, with the clear body, I can see at what point of trigger step my ESC and motor is engaging. Too much and I roll slightly backwards from the release of brake, too little and it'll almost "jump" forward. it's setup after a few trials in the beginning, but I just never painted it. To be honest, I've always liked the looks of partially clear bodies.. Cheers, Kyle. |
I feel both ways about the body. I like a nice paintjob but hate to hide all the hard work and craftsmanship.
