Take 4 LEDs, and two straws... See where I'm going with this? Mount under your liions and call it a day.

Yeah ive done one before the way rsx racer mentioned it. Stick a LED in each end of a straw and stick it under the battery mounts or under the front & rear bumper or both. Then cut a small slat or opening on the bottom of the straw, a bigger opening will let more light through.

ok, does it make alot brighter by the end where the LEDs are placed? does anyone have pictures of this?

rsx racer 02-16-2009 05:14 PM

It doesn't matter where its brighter, the lights are under the car. All you will see is a glow from all sides.

himynamebebrian 02-16-2009 05:26 PM

it does, because i don't want the 2 ends to be 2x brighter than the middle, that IS a point to me asking that.

instead of using clear straws go to ace hardware and get clear 1/4"OD fuel hose(about a buck a foot) and mount the LED's above and infront the wheel wells then run the middle of the hose near the bottom of the side skirt.
the tube will carry the light and with the LED's mounted higher then the tube the light emitted to the ground will even out.
if the light is still greater at the ends then use a bit of scotch tape near the LED's.
less light will pass through more layers.
