Project: Haulin' 4SS (W/ Merc3des)
Here is another partner project with merc3des. It is a model body conversion with interior, a custom rollcage, and some details. It's going to be a drag car so here it is. We painted it yellow and black. Since its drag, the rollcage is just cool. We want to put to put a nascar net in too. Custom dashboard too!

it looks good what color is the interior going to be
Gonna be able to lower that thing? Sittin quite high IMO.
thats awsome. cant wait too see it finished!
Where is the ESC going to go?
i would lower the front to make it sit level. on a more positive note, i like the role bar and the seats, they realy give the car that drag-car look.
I really like the bright yellow color, but where is the Esc going to go, and I do think it is kind of high up. Get some bigger tires in the back, and some smaller ones in the front. ;) Looks good though.

Okay guys, Mike came over my house last night and we got a lot done! The board is going right on top of the motor, I drilled holes through the spacer clip for the deans plug for the lipos to come through. We want speed, but not too much so that its uncontrollable. It IS going to pop wheelies. More detail paint is coming in so all I could get done was the black seats, and the black cross bar. The rest is going to be chromed out silver, and yellow. We also made a license plate and mounted it. We also trimmed the motor details in the hood all the way down, so it sits nicer now. We also cut out part of the middle piece of the chassis so it has a drag car angle, so the angle is perfect with the clip and all.
UPDATE: The pictures y'all have been waiting for. http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...5/000_0683.jpg http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...5/000_0684.jpg http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...5/000_0685.jpg http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...5/000_0687.jpg http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...5/000_0688.jpg http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...5/000_0690.jpg This is a really large picture, its of the license plate. I cannot upload it to this page so just use the link. http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...5/000_0693.jpg The motor is a radline right now. The scratches in the back will be fixed, they are from an exacto. We let our friend Neil try and cut out the Real Hemi-Cuda logo. >_< As for why I'm up early, my brother woke me up as he was going to hockey at 6 in the morning  |
wow a really nice cuda.... post pics when your done... im excited to see this one...
I'm about to order the hand paint, does anyone have ideas for the rest of the interior? Shout em quick.

A days work:
WE put on a wing, ditched the idea of it being able to drag and made it a roller. The front grill is painted black, and there is working headlights. Check out the pics: Lights working: http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...5/000_0709.jpg Some paint residue left around the grill: http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...5/000_0710.jpg http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...5/000_0711.jpg http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...5/000_0712.jpg http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...5/000_0713.jpg Going to take some 1200 Grit to the left over paint stuff. I don't know where all those drops come from, I used a pointed brush. The color of the car is all messed up inside. Terrible lighting, check previous updates for better pictures. |
why did you drop the drag and go with a roller?
It would be a cool drag car. I don't really like the wing, but it doesn't look to horrible. I still think you need to change the wheels.
Were thinking of doing a fast motor conected to electric NOS with a switch to make it go, just an idea though
Is there even enough room in under the body to put like a 9-volt in there with a switch?
how did you mount it?... you should drop down the body
Well it is going to be a time switch. It will run for X seconds off a 9volt, the switch has space under the interior next to the AAA batts, and the 9 volt can go on top of the motor, it fits.
how did you mount it and can you lower the body
to mount the body we made a front clip an raised the clip up and hot glued it in
this is just an idea but you might be able to put a board in the engine compartment if it fits
