hate to ask the stupid question but did you charge the batteries first?

Did the cells drop below 3v?
You could've fried your range inductors if it work near your controller...

NiKHiL 01-13-2008 01:11 AM

the batteries are charged and i didn't fried the range stuff and it is working in air even when controller is used from a distance.

sounds like it's losing battery power to me somehow, what blt was asking you was whether you let the voltage drop, cause if you drain the cells below 3V the liths are dead basically.

NiKHiL 01-13-2008 01:38 AM

the batteries are protected batteries so they will not drop below the 3V.

Kaze 01-13-2008 01:43 AM

What do you mean? if you leave them plugged in or run them too long they'll drop below 3V, unless you're telling me you have something that warns you when they're low such that you know to stop driving and charge them.

the protected batteries have a chip in thr negative terminal which prevent it from going dead due to over charging and over draining. these batteries are only .2cm longer than normal AA battery.

(*sorry mods i posted an external link but im just spreading knowledge*)

Check your solder connections.
Make sure nothing bridges, or touches.
Any smoke?
Weird smell?
Look at the FETs to see if they burned, or if they are somewhat damaged.
Is the polarity of the batteries correct?
