man thats a bad spot because the fets are right there and they are sensitive to heat so that could be the problem
theres more than one spot to put it?
no thats a bad spot for the wire to go up at your red circle you drew the fets are on the other side of the screw
you can actually put your power wire in one of 2 spots, either the stock location, or the bigger pad right to the left of where it is in the picture. quick question though, did you have you liths hooked up to the red power wire when you were soldering it on? thats a no no to start with, and the area you have circled will cause issues if you touch the power wire to it. i fried a board early on by oops actions and accidently hitting that, and once when installing one in my aluminum chassis because i didnt have it insulated. just remember never have power going to the board when soldering.
well yeah i did have it plugged in but because i was checking if where i solder it would allow it to work and then my hand slipped:(
i marked both places you can solder the positive to, the negativ i only know of the one. just remember always always, remove volatge to the pwoer wire before attempting to solder it to the board. if you soldering it in the right place to start with you should have no issues. solder the wire on, then test it to see if it works.

yeah its not working.thanks anyway though.so what could the problem be?
from the sounds of it you shorted the board, it's going to replaced uness you can track down the specific thing that shorted and actually find a replacement for it.
will replacing the fets fix it?
It shouldn't fix it. But your FETs do look to be in a rough shape. Trying to replace them won't hurt.
Those are throttle FETs. If one was burned you would still get power on and directional steering. If you need a new board PM me, I have two from the original evolution series I won't be using. I don't mess with Xmods anymore.
