Losi desert buggy! Help.....
well i got a Desert buggy a while back from a member on here and really enjoyed the time i spent with it, however now ive ran into a problem, i made a video to try and show you as im not that good at describing....
http://i773.photobucket.com/albums/y...h_SAM_5508.jpg but basically as you increase the accelerator nothing happens, a sounds comes from the motor but the wheels dont move, at all..... the steering works fine however.... the reverse gets no motion at all but the lights on the ESC light up so it receives the signal... any help is appreciated as to solving the problem... its a Castle Creations mamba Brushless system installed and im using a 2.4 remote and receiver... thanks in advance NSX |
Reset the mamba. I have a mini-t with the mamba micro pro 8000. Sometimes (mine hasnt so far) it just glitches and needs to be reset. If you bought the mamba new, you have 1 year warrenty on both the motor and esc.

how do i reset it? ive tried re calibrating and it still doesnt work it thats what you meant

Yea re calibration. If that doesnt work it sounds like theres a motor problem to me, Usually the mamba brushless motors are bullet proof though. Contacting castle would be the best thing i think.

try taking the motor off the car and see if it spins then, if it does then the esc is not your problem
+1 for giving castle a call, they have amazing tech support over the phone |
been busy over cchristmas so just seen this, thanks for the help! i took the motor off just before christmas the tranny spins fine, the motor rod can move, which i dont think is right?

the rod should move very slightly in an out of the can, that is normal
when you twist the rod, is it smooth? or do you feel the magnets kicking in |
It move in and out and side to side, like a wobble.... I'm not at home to check that as I'm at my dads to celebrate the new year
