wow! how much did you pay for that brushless. ive been thinking about getting one. would it work on a gen1?

theoriganalRiD3R1967 02-11-2009 08:49 PM

,ooo, ineresting, is this a mini or a micro, and is it even going in a losi product?

c1v1c 02-11-2009 08:56 PM

You clearly see 1:36 scale on the package, which means its for micro,
and the thread is create in the xmod project section :)

Which equal to a brushless xmod conversion, come one guys, it's not that hard to figure out:nodno:

As far as mounting goes, you should go with breiti's way and fit it in a hacked 130 size can.

Good luck, can't wait to see more!

Hey! Where are the pics of the shell?
Anyway looks like you have a nice project here, I'll be watching this.
And I agree with c1v1c you should make this one a sleeper.

the only thing you would have to worry about it getting pinion gear / spur gear setup modded into it. the motor shaft is smaller than an xmods

thats my plans, make this the ultimate sleeper. digging through my cans at the moment. i was wondering if the holes in a chili style can would match up, but i cant find the can right now.

Got any ideas of the speed? Or your goal? Hope this all turns out good for you, and which pinnion/spur are you using?

not sure on the speed yet. never even ran a micro t so im not sure of their capabilities. and i have some micro t pinions on order, and a micro t spur i am going to try to adapt to an xmod spur.

little update. didnt think about needing the screws i knew were needed to mount the motor inside the can. but i did get it set in the can. hows it look? xmod motor, or not?

now that i know what this project really is very interesting, and i'll be frank with you guys, no amount of my pondering would have ever brought me to this conclusion, so basicly you could classify as a functional idiot :D

get it running and lets see some vids!!!

zippo855 02-15-2009 01:54 PM

well i found out i have to hack to motor cradle to get this in there. and custom make the pinion. luckily i ordered 2 sets of pinion gears. and i glued them end to end. this is the only way it is going to reach from the motor to the spur gear. here's some pics.
and no i didnt want to hack the cradle off of the chassis so i grabbed a beater partial chassis.
