Agreed I still have a couple my kids drive from time to time and I have a shelf queen |
I'm into doing bodywork still. Not so much driving them since I have other r/c's and I'm usually busy with school.
|
i have a lot
|
I'm certainly still here and into the hobby! Though not like it used to be, there are still dedicated members here as well!
As for as the status of the actual product, XMODS have been discontinued for at least two years now and personally, I don't ever see them coming back. :( |

i think i speak for a few of the members here, i lurk the forums and check in a lot of the time, waiting for that one thread for a glimmer of hope into these. they were fun while they lasted though, gave me something to do after school but now im at college, i never have the time :(
|
I check things out on here almost everyday. I just recently purchased some new bodies cheap and going to start messing more with the air brush. Have been doing 1/10 but want to try the xmods.
|
still here. just today i found an old dusty gen1 mustang in the mechanical engineering lab's CNC room. i was thrilled.
the ones i have at home are still shelf queens since i never have time to play with them. |

I still float around here....
|
i use them every week, (zmods always Z) and have a couple of projects in the sleeve!
Yes they are discountinued, but aftermaket brands and ebay for the stock kits are very alive :) xmods are an undreground thing :) it will live forever, even gen1 projects come every day. Not as like 4 years ago, but still for "lovers" on bussiness! |
i still check around, but i have sold all of my xmods to buy an HPI Blitz, then traded the Blitz for my SCX10. i did recently find a 1st gen supra between my couch cusions xD
|
Just sold the entire collection two weeks ago once I got it all back from my ex. They were fun for a while and a lot of fun, even thought about doing one more but let it go. Had fun with them but trying something new. Have fun with the ones you have everyone and take care xmodders....................
|
My one lowly xmod is just waiting to be built. But yeah, i still love them!

I just happened to stop by today. I was actually coming here to see if I could find a picture a member once posted of his RC18B that was really nice, yellow I think, lots of aluminum, because I finally bought one myself and I'm really into it right now.
Xmods are awesome, they were pretty exciting way back when. I still have a bunch but I never get them out. I plan to some day. As my kids get older, maybe we can bash the beater ones as a family. They do cross my mind from time to time and I'll think I should finish this or that project that never got done, you know, just for the heck of it. I have to give them props though, they got me into RC. From there it was the Micro T, and then on and on with all different scales and platforms. I think I'll always be into some form of rc cars. |
xmods need more love. i plan to give my projects some tlc in the summer
