Lol, tell me when you get the body.

Also, in the end, I will take all the bodies and choose.

I've also been looking into a new project, but I have no money at the time. But like I said to you before, I will try to find somebody that'll do a build off with you.

Edit: TheXmodifyer, arent you going to build something also ?? I dont think its fair that you have to choose, I think it should be like a competition, but no actual prize. I think all the members should have there right to vote(this is not a speech from a person running for president, lol).

unsanctioned build offs are a recipe for diaster from the staff POV.
best bet is to get a (non-entering)mod involved and have them regulate the build off to keep it fair.
a third party,if you will.

have a few convo's with a mod and get a set of rules going to fit the build.

im not saying that you have to but it might go over a bit better if you did.:bigwink:

All in favor for bondo to be the "supervisor" say i.....

Hmmmmmm shall i enter my 1986 Toyota Supra? hehehehehhee

snowboi1289 07-17-2008 12:48 AM

Me, umm I mean I vote for bondo.

However, Bondo is not part of the staff any longer.

But, I do not see a problem with him supervising this. If he would like to take this he's welcome. But, if he would like to enter into this build off, I would be glad to take this buildoff off of his hands since I will not be entering. Your call, Bondo.

bondo 07-17-2008 01:05 AM

no offense but i have to say no thank you...
i was only trying to point you guys in the right direction.
since i'm no longer staff, i can't rightfully supervise something like this nor do i wish to enter.
you should look for a staff member who would be unbiased towards all entrants.

i can offer advise(if needed) on how to run this successfully but i dont want the resposibility.:roll_eye:

xmodkidd33 07-17-2008 11:21 AM

I'll enter it if I can find a body to use.

TheB1GDude 07-17-2008 11:43 AM

Donzii if your cool with looking after this then please do otherwise I can.

Thanks.

meme405 07-17-2008 11:57 AM

Can i help judge? Or can I build a supersweet chassis that can win??

TheXmodifyer 07-17-2008 11:57 AM

Yeah, we absolutely need someone to moderate this competition. And I'll stop taking body entries by..say the 25th? And then Ill make a voting thread for every member on XMS to vote on and see what to build. But question for you guys: Would you rather see two of the same bodies or two different? I think two same would be a hell of alot more fair.

Seeing as how I'll be away for the whole next week, why don't you take it?

July 25th? Wow, that's a very quick deadline when you just announced this yesterday. I'd say at least go until August 25th. That allows more time for people to build something up to par with the rest as well as a little wiggle room incase something goes wrong along the way. But, that's just my $0.02.

TheB1GDude 07-17-2008 12:22 PM

OK I'll supervise it then!

Lets play it like this:

1. By tomorrow I want a final decision on the class:

1- Muscle
2- Old Trucks
3- New trucks
4- Tuners
5- Anything!!

Do you want a voting thread to determine this or decide amongst yourselves?

2. By July 25th I want a definite list of you will be entering - once I have this I will create a new thread that you can post progress pictures into, you are also free to create your own build thread.

3. Start work on your car as soon as you make the decision to enter.

4. August 25th will be the deadline, at which point you must post completed pictures in the build thread.

5. August 26th to August 31st will be the voting period.

Let me know if thats two many rules for you... I want to keep this fun but I also want it to be sensible.
