mustanglover 04-22-2009 09:43 PM

firebird999 04-22-2009 09:58 PM

for earth day, i didn't do nothin' bad for teh earthz. i did, however, fill a guy's bookbag with water because he littered.

I'm all for conservation and certainly do my part to try and help, but some people just take it wayyy too far. I'll eat my words when the world is unbearable to live in and we all fry to death; but according to the first Earth day and the genius predictions of scientists, that was supposed to happen nine years ago. Lookie-lookie, nothing remotely close to that has happened.. We're all still alive and well driving around in our big SUVs.

What really urks me is the fact that I can't even watch TV any more without seeing one of these "Going Green" commercials. For Pete's sake, it's even on Nickelodeon, Disney Channel and Cartoon Network! Again, taking it a bit too far.

Cheers,
Kyle.

i didnt power down but i planted 3 trees today if that counts.

texan_idiot25 04-22-2009 10:37 PM

I've been driving a pre-emissions era V8 powered pick-up all day. Probably put 60 miles on it today, roughly half a tank of gas. About 6-7 gallons. Delivering, playing, enjoying the roar that a V8 with headers and dual exhaust emanate underneath a 4500lbs brick at 75 miles per hour. Never mind emissions testing, fuel injection and catylitic converters. Charcol filters, recapture chambers, and EGRs.

Just, raw carbureted fueled American Iron.

Happy Earth Day.

ling427ttvette 04-22-2009 10:40 PM

I did my part by driving around in a 27 foot long P1000 and consumed 24 gallons of diesel.. for about 8 hours today. Does that count for anything?

Well all I can say for those of us down here in this up-n-coming generation is thank you for scewing up the world! Now we have to clean it up. I dont mind as long as some of you pitch in to help!

TheB1GDude 04-23-2009 12:11 AM

We drove the Beetle instead of the Mustang that's 2.6L less of engine so I figure that's doing our part... also we happened to be out so all the lights, tv's etc where off....

imnotmikal 04-23-2009 07:19 AM

I did my part by idling in a 12MPG Suburban for 30 minutes while waiting for my mom.
I also did my part by gunning the acceleration on a 14MPG Silverado until I got to about 60.
I also did my part by riding my fourwheeler for 4 hours straight.

Woohoo gas!

Prove to me how the world is screwed up. The air is cleaner than ever, and global warming ended up being a mistake (Even admitted by the scientist who began this theory over 30 years ago).

Because, you know.. Technically I recycled the Chevy.

You still have fuel injection, catalytic, converters, egr valves, charcoal filters, AIR, resonators, emissions standards, and closed loop fume venting.

PSH, hippy.

imnotmikal 04-23-2009 06:24 PM

:/
Whatever...

Lol.

Hey, if I can keep my small block Chevy, it's all good.

Plus, the amount of energy it takes to power your home, far exceeds the environmental damage I have in one day of the CST10

firebird999 04-23-2009 09:02 PM

tex, you should be a social studies teacher. you know too much random stuff for a delivery boy.
