xmod servo mod?

i was just wondering if you could use a xmod servo motor as the MAIN motor and if it would be good for crawling? thanks in advance.

Yes, you can. Quite a few threads on it all over:

Just make sure you use a good servo with a good 15oz of torque...
Hey, my Revo has 333oz of torque in it's servos..

But that thing barely turns the wheels left and right. I doubt it will do well. I guess it is small enough to use with extra gearing, though. You can give it a try, but there are better options. My airplane motor/gear setup had more tourque than the truck could handle...

You just need a good servo. 16oz or a pound of torque is plenty. Someone on XMW had it in they're truck, and could climb verticly if they had traction.

The stock servo won't do good though, you need more torque.

Would the servo of an electric 1/10 scale car be good?

If it's small enough to fit in the motor space, then you would have plenty of torque. But I don't see the point of having a servo that's any biger when you don't need more than 16oz of torque...

I tried the Gen1 Servo... You need to change the motor, or lengthen the wires significantly.
