not a clue, the only difference between a t-top and a targa top is one had a ridge in the center, the 87 mustang had the ridge, so how i have to work on that

theruns 07-25-2008 04:08 PM

yeah that is what i meant

Their not. Targa is where there is nothing connecting the windshield to the rear window area and come out as on large panel. T-Tops have the bar that connects the front to rear and comes out in two pieces. Advantage goes to the T-Top with a bit more structural rigidity.

And I <3 my T-Tops. If I recall right, these fox-bodies had t-tops..

good job tex but despite all that the principal is the same, yes the 85 and 87 had the t-top option

looks good as far as wheel spacing but i dont think i've ever seen an LX with T-tops.
i've seen conertables but no T-tops.

for future reference though, when cutting for T-tops, only cut out the two removable pices.
this leaves you with a nice rounded "I" that doesnt require putty plus it allows you to put a single piece of styrene to hold them up instead of having to cut two pices and putty them.

this car is not a lx, but there were some lx t-tops, probably you dont remember them because they were only made for like 2 years

the way it was set up that was the only way they come out, but i will keep it in mind next time i get a kit like this

update, base laid down

That two tone looks familular?:p LOL JK Lookin' pretty rad. Your lines where the two colors meet looks to be very straight and clean. Mine may be hard to tell in pics but they aren't perfect not terrible either just the spots where the paint made it beyond the tape a lil sucks. Lovin' the T-Top idea, Turin' out pretty cool:);)

Got you mounts figured out??? I would have sent pics but I just haven't been on in the last couple days been workin' like crazy all week. Still can though just tellin' you though I didn't make them they seem to be made by a mold or somthing.
